Run Caney Race Information

<p>Run Caney is back again!  This will be a 5K,6 mile and 12 mile loop run around beautiful Upper Caney lake near Minden, Louisiana.  The run, set in the slight hills and oak flats of the <b>Kisatchie National Forest</b>; is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature at its finest.   It&#39;s not too hilly, not too rocky, and not too root-laden.   It&#39;s just right! Goldilocks would love it!   This is an &#34;Old School Style&#34; trail run.   It&#39;s a perfect first timers race!   </p> <p>PPU will be at Run Wild in Shreveport-on the Thurs. and Friday prior to the race (11th &amp; 12th) from 10 am to 5:45 pm. Or, race morning before the race; <span style="text-decoration:underline">at the race location</span>.</p> <p><strong>There will be a shirt deadline of 12/1/25.  <span style="text-decoration:underline">Anyone registering after that may not get a shirt!</span></strong></p> <p><u><i>THERE IS NO NEED TO PAY THE $5 USAGE FEE. I&#39;VE COVERED IT THIS YEAR BY SECURING THE DAY USE AREA.</i></u></p> <p><b>There will be a running clock at the finish.</b>  Racers will be handed a numbered index card as they finish.  The runner will then write their name and time on the card.  In 2024 I used the Runsignup mobile app with pretty good results. </p> <p>Overall male and female winner in each race will get an award of some type.  Age group winner will receive a home-made ornament of some type. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><em><strong>If you miss the race for any reason, you forfeit your shirt. Of course you may get your shirt at early ppu and then not attend the race but if you just don&#39;t show...I will not hold onto your shirt for you.  </strong></em></span> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
