RTA Run-A-Latke Race Information

<p>RTA - Richmond Hebrew Day School proudly presents the <span style="color:#3598db"><b>RTA Run-A-Latke</b><span style="color:rgb( 52 , 73 , 94 )">, presented by the Habib Family,<b> </b></span></span>on Sunday, December 14, 2025!</p> <p>The race will begin and end at the <b><span style="color:#3598db">Weinstein JCC, 5403 Monument Ave</span></b>, and loop through the residential area across the street. The 5K and the <span style="color:#3598db"><b>1 Miler </b></span>start time to be determined. There will also be a <span style="color:#3598db"><b>virtual 5K </b></span>option that will take place on December 14th. </p> <p>Enjoy a festive <b><span style="color:#3598db">post-race party </span></b>in the JCC with hot chocolate, donuts, and of course, <span style="color:#3598db"><b>latkes</b></span>! </p> <p><b><span style="color:#3598db">All profits from the race support education at RTA - Richmond Hebrew Day School. </span></b>See below for more information about RTA.</p> <p> </p> <h5><b><span style="color:#236fa1">Event Details and Fees</span></b></h5> <p><b><span style="color:#3598db">5K</span></b></p> <p>This is an in-person 5K. The 5K will be chip-timed by Commonwealth Timing, and the chip-timed results will be posted on their website. You must wear the bib number assigned to you.  Participants of all abilities are welcome.</p> <p><u>Registration fees</u>:</p> <p>September 12 - November 7 $35 per person (plus processing fee)</p> <p>November 8 - December 14: $45 per person (plus processing fee)</p> <p>December 14: $50 per person (plus processing fee)</p> <p> </p> <p><b><span style="color:#3598db">1 Miler</span></b></p> <p>This is an in-person fun run/walk. The 1 Miler will be chip-timed by Commonwealth Timing, and the chip-timed results will be posted on their website. If you run or walk with a stroller or are mobile via a wheelchair, we ask that you start at the rear of the starting corral.</p> <p>- Registrants receive long sleeve performance shirts. Register early to guarantee your size!</p> <p>- The top 5K finishers will receive prizes. All finishers will receive medals. </p> <p>There will be one (1) water station on the course. There will be water and other refreshments after the race.</p> <p> </p> <p><b><span style="color:#3598db">1 Miler </span></b></p> <p>The 1 Miler also starts and ends at the Weinstein JCC. The course is a 1 mile loop and will be timed by Commonwealth Timing, and the chip-timed results will be posted on their website. You must wear the bib number assigned to you.  </p> <p>The 1 Mile is a family-friendly event,  start time to be determined </p> <p>- Participants of all abilities are welcome!</p> <p>- Runners or walkers with strollers or wheelchairs/assistive devices are permitted.</p> <p>- Registrants receive short sleeve t-shirts. Register early to guarantee your size!</p> <p>- The top 1 Mile finishers will receive prizes. All finishers will receive medals.</p> <p> </p> <p><b><span style="color:#3598db">Virtual 5K</span></b></p> <p>The virtual 5K is an individualized, untimed event designed for those who can’t make it in person, but still want to participate!</p> <p>- Complete the 5K on the course of your choice! No bibs given.</p> <p>- Times are not recorded or posted. </p> <p>- Long sleeve performance shirts and medals for <b>local registrants only</b>. Shirts and medals must be picked up in person; we do not ship shirts and medals. </p> <p> </p> <p><i>Please note that you are responsible for your safety for all events. Be alert, watch for traffic, and pay attention to fellow participants and course marshals. </i></p> <p><i>Should the weather impact the RTA Run-A-Latke, you will be notified Saturday night, December 13th.</i></p> <p> </p> <h5><b><span style="color:#236fa1">Packet Pickup for In-Person Events</span></b></h5> <p>Please pick up your race shirt and bib at Lucky Road Run Shop in the Willow Lawn Shopping Center on <span style="color:rgb( 35 , 111 , 161 )"><strong>either</strong></span> <span style="text-decoration:underline">Sunday, December 7</span> from 12:00-2:00pm <span style="color:rgb( 35 , 111 , 161 )"><strong>or</strong></span> <span style="text-decoration:underline">Thursday, December 11</span> from 4:30-6:00pm. We <span style="color:#236fa1"><b>strongly </b></span>encourage you to pick up your race items before the race day.</p> <p>Day-of pickup will begin at 8:00am at the Weinstein JCC. Please allow extra time for waiting in line.</p> <p>Please wear your bib on the front of your shirt, about chest height. Only wear the bib number assigned to you - both races are chip-timed to your bib number. Race results and finish line photos can be found at www.commonwealthtiming.net. </p> <p>On-site registration (payment by credit card only - no cash or checks accepted) will be available at check-in on race day. </p> <p> </p> <h5><span style="color:#236fa1"><b>Awards</b></span></h5> <p><span style="color:#3598db"><b>5K Awards</b></span></p> <p>Gift certificates from Lucky Road Run Shop will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female overall finishers.
