Red Wave 5K Race Information

<h2><strong>2nd Annual Red Wave 5K</strong></h2> <p>The Red Wave 5k and 1.5 mile run is a fundraising event to benefit Red Wave Indoor. Red Wave Indoor is a percussion ensemble at Fresno State that participates in the competitive activity known as winter percussion. Each spring, Red Wave Indoor will compete in competitions locally and throughout California, culminating in the WGI Percussion World Championships in Dayton, OH where hundreds of other groups compete in the 3-day event. Proceeds from the Red Wave 5K help make this all possible!</p> <h3>Race Information</h3> <p>Registration is now open! The 2nd Annual Red Wave 5K is Saturday, October 11 at Fresno State.</p> <p><strong>Packet pickup</strong> will be Friday, October 10, from 12-3 pm at Fleet Feet Fresno, located at 9447 N Fort Washington Rd #106, Fresno, CA 93730. Late pickup morning of the race at 7:00 am.</p> <p>Participants will receive a t-shirt. Awards will be given to the top finisher of each age group, as well as the first male and female finishers overall.</p> <p>We look forward to seeing you there! Go ‘Dogs!</p> <h2>About Red Wave Indoor</h2> <p>Founded in 2017, the group performs at local, state, and national competitions every winter. The ensemble seeks to further the growth of young adults in the Central Valley through performance in the pageantry arts. In conjunction with the Friends of the Bulldog Marching Band, a non-profit organization that supports the athletic band programs at Fresno State, the goal of this event is to lessen the monetary burden placed on students and allow them to focus on getting the most out of their experience. </p>
