<p><strong>REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS AVAILABLE <a title="RACE REGISTRATION" href="https://recsports.utk.edu/recsports-5k-fun-run-walk-spring-event/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><span style="color:rgb( 230 , 126 , 35 )">HERE</span></a></strong></p> <p><strong>Event Outline</strong></p> <p>The RecSports 5K Fun Run &amp; Walk will begin promptly at 8am and will start at the TRECS (2111 Volunteer Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37996) and finish at the RecSports Sutherland Field Complex (3620 Sutherland Ave, Knoxville, TN 37919).</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline">Race Participants are encouraged to park at the RecSports Sutherland Field Complex</span> for transportation to the starting line at TREC, transportation service will be available from 6:30-7:30am to shuttle participants.</p> <p>We recommend arriving to park between 6am and 7am to allow time for shuttle transportation and stretching/warm ups. Last bus will leave for the starting line at 7:30am.  Restrooms will be available at both the start and finish sites.</p> <p>Race course is open from 8am – 10:30am.</p> <p>Please join us after the race for fun and festivities at the Rec fields for food, awards &amp; door prizes.<br />Award Ceremony &amp; Giveaways will start at 9:30am.</p> <p>*UT Students will need to enter their NetID during check out to qualify for the student rate.  Community members are welcome to join this event as well.  UT Staff and faculty members should reach out to <a href="mailto:eharrel6&#64;utk.edu" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">eharrel6&#64;utk.edu</a> for special staff pricing.  T-shirt deadline is April 3rd, sign up before this to guarantee your shirt size.</p> <p><strong>Awards:</strong></p> <p>All 5K finishers will receive a medal.  Awards will be given to the top 3 Male &amp; Female runners in the 5K.  </p> <p>Age group awards will be awarded to the top performer in 10 year increments (14 &amp; under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70&#43;).  Awards will be presented at 9:30 along with other door prizes for present participants (will not be mailed).  </p> <p><strong>Packet Pick up:</strong></p> <p>**<span style="text-decoration:underline">There will not be pick up available on Race Day morning</span>, Please plan to pick up during one of the mentioned windows during the week.</p> <p><strong>PARKING:</strong></p> <p><strong>For off-campus/commuting participants: (FINISH AREA)</strong></p> <p>RecSports Sutherland Field Complex</p> <p style="line-height:1">3620 Sutherland Ave</p> <p style="line-height:1">Knoxville, TN US 37919</p> <p><strong>For on-campus/non-commuting participants: (START LINE)</strong></p> <p>TRECS</p> <p style="line-height:1">2111 Volunteer Blvd</p> <p style="line-height:1">Knoxville, TN 37996</p> <p><strong>Race Transportation</strong></p> <p>Race participants are encouraged to park at the RecSports Sutherland Field Complex (3620 Sutherland Ave, Knoxville, TN 37919).  Shuttles will transport race participants to the TRECS Plaza (5K start location) starting at 6:30am and will make trips to the Start every 20 minutes.  The last bus to the start will run at 7:30am, please plan to have ample time to board the buses.
