ON THE SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF THE PRESIDENT’S HOUSE</span></h4> <h4> </h4> <h4><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 )">After years away, one of Clemson’s most legendary races is finally making a comeback! The RC &amp; MoonPie Presidential Downhill Mile is a fast, fun, charitable, and uniquely Southern tradition where runners take on a one-mile downhill sprint—with a sweet challenge. </span></h4> <h4><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 )">Before the race starts, participants eat a MoonPie at the start line after being sent off by a very special guest. At the halfway mark (Sikes Hall), they eat another moonpie and drink a Cola before making their final push to the finish, where their final Cola or a celebratory beer (21&#43;) awaits as their reward.</span></h4> <h4><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 )">This race, starting near the President’s House and finishing at the Esso Club, honors former Clemson President R.C. Edwards and his wife, Louise “Moonpie” Edwards, keeping their legacy alive through one of Clemson’s most beloved traditions.</span></h4> <h4><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 )">Now, we’re bringing it back—bigger and better than ever.
