12/5 at 7pm, you’ll have 8 hours to complete this out and back 50k on the Glacial Drumlin State Trail. We will be starting at the Rotary Park in Lake Mills and turning around at the Western terminus of the Glacial Drumlin in Cottage Grove.
UPDATE: We have added a 25k option for those who aren't quite ready to tackle the full 50k OR for whom a 50k doesn't fit into your training schedule. You will start at 8pm at the Rotary Park in Lake Mills and have 4 hours to complete this out and back course.
This section of the Glacial Drumlin State Trail is a mostly flat, crushed gravel trail.

We are so lucky and thankful to have this all season, multi-use path here locally. We will absolutely adhere to the highest respect to everyone involved who maintains it.

50K - One unsupported drop bag is allowed on the way out. It’ll be set at an outdoor pavilion roughly 8 miles from the start. Then you’ll pass it again (mile 23ish) on the way back and on to the finish!!! The halfway mark of the 50k is your turnaround point. Here, we’ll host warm food, all the usual running snacks, volunteers and cheers to fill you back up and send you back on your way.
25k - One supported drop bag is allowed at the turnaround, at approximately 8 miles. There is no other aid for this course.
The event is clock timed with awards given to the top 3 Female and Male finishers.
It’s Quiet out and Silence on the way back. Obviously not total silence, just a gentle way for us to remember to be mindful of the sleeping communities we are traveling through late at night and into the early morning.
