About Power Mile Road Race

The Power Mile Road Race is the premier road mile in the Gulf South. 

Over the past three years, the Power Mile has raised over $20,000 for charity. Each year we bring more than 500 participants, volunteers, and spectators to West End Park to enjoy the race and festivities. The Power Mile is returning to West End Park in 2025! The course is flat, fast, and enjoyable for both runners and spectators alike. Enjoy beautiful sunset views, food, and a frosty beverage post-race along Lake Pontchartrain.   

Back by popular demand....sub-7 minute race posters!  That's right...run under 7 minutes in the mile and you can take home our official race poster - you earned it!  

New this year? The beer mile relay. Celebrate race day with a beer and a hard quarter mile!

Race Day Schedule:
Packet pickup and late registration: 4:30 to 6:30 pm
Kids half mile: 5:45pm
Half mile awards: 6:00 pm
Open mile: 6:30 pm
Elite mile: 7:00 pm
Beer mile relay: 7:20 pm
Mile awards: 7:45 pm
