Co-founded in 2016 by Anurag Shrivastava and Nowshin Ali, People in Need is dedicated to empowering underrepresented immigrant communities through year-round programs and workshops.

We are expanding our reach to support these programs financially while raising awareness of our mission across Queens.

Our Charity 5K walk/run welcomes runners and walkers of all levels. Hosted in the beautiful Cunningham Park, the course features a scenic 2-lap, 1K loop through the main park and along serene trails, offering a refreshing and engaging outdoor experience.

Every step of the run is a step toward support, opportunity, and empowerment—uniting a community of caring individuals around the shared mission of uplifting our city’s most vulnerable populations.
