<p>The Patriot’s Run 5K &amp; 1-Mile Fun Run takes place Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Red Tail Pavilion, Oak Point Park in Plano—home of the Plano Flags of Honor.</p> <p>Tentatively: The morning begins with a Presentation of Colors by Allen High School MCJROTC and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Congressman Keith Self, followed by a 7:30 AM warm-up, the 1-Mile Fun Run (8:00 AM), and the 5K Run (8:30 AM). Wheeled participants will have a 5 minute head start.</p> <p>After the race, enjoy a community celebration featuring awards, sponsor booths, food, music, and vendor prize giveaways immediately following the ceremony.</p> <p>Run, walk, ride or cheer—every step honors those who served and celebrates the freedom they defended.</p> <p>Proceeds from the event help fund veteran assistance programs, student scholarships, and outreach efforts that uphold the VFW’s mission of service to veterans, their families, and our nation.</p>
