The Calhoun Civic Club will host the Not Ya Mama's 5K on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25th, 2025. The race will begin at 8:00 am at the Calhoun Civic Club, 189 Calhoun Loop Road, Calhoun, LA with a kid’s only fun run following at 9:00 am.  

Runners will complete a circuit beginning at the Calhoun Civic Club on Calhoun Loop Road, pass along Owens, McCain Farm Road, West Ouachita Baseball Road, and complete the race by entering the West Ouachita Wellness Park to take a victory lap on the wellness park track. 

Register by October 17th for the 5K to receive a free race t-shirt and swag bag with your race packet.

5K entry prices: Adults $30     Kids (14 and under) $15

Pick up your race packets at the Calhoun Civic Club, 189 Calhoun Loop Road, Calhoun, LA 

Thursday, October 23 from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm or

Saturday, October 25 from 7:00 am until the 5K start.

Medals for finishing the 5K in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in men’s and women’s in the following age categories will be awarded.

Under 10  /  10-14  /  15-19  /  20-29  /  30-39  /  40-49  /  50-59  /  60+

Free entry for the kid's Fun Run with the run limited to kids 9 years old and younger.  The kid’s run is a loop around the Wellness Park track. All participants will receive a free prize.

This event is one of our yearly fundraisers for local scholarships and renovations to our wellness park.  The Not Ya Mama’s 5K is an extension of the ICS sanctioned Not Ya Mama’s Louisiana State Championship Chili Cook-off powered by Entergy that was held in April 2025.

All runners and walkers are encouraged to wear costumes to celebrate the season of Halloween.

Vendors and food trucks will be available from 7:00 am until 11:00 am.
