Musselman Preview Ride Race Information
<h5>Welcome Triathletes! It's time to put the final touches on your training before tapering begins, so register to join us for the <span style="color:#e03e2d"><b>4th Annual Musselman Preview Ride (Sat Jun 14 @ 8:00am) benefitting the Geneva Food Pantry</b></span>. </h5>
<h5>This event is organized by the <span style="color:#236fa1"><b><a style="color:#236fa1" href="http://www.rochesterareatriathletes.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rochester Area Triathletes (RATs)</a> with support from Truepath Racing, Towpath Bike, Twisted Rail Brewing Company.</b></span></h5>
<h5><span style="color:#e03e2d"><b>Musselman Preview Ride:</b> </span>On <span style="color:rgb( 224 , 62 , 45 )"><strong>Saturday June 14th at 8:00am</strong></span> we will ride within your chosen pace groups through the picturesque but challenging 56-mile course straddling the beautiful Finger Lakes of Seneca and Cayuga. Afterwards, we'll get together for a cookout social at the waterfront pavilion in Seneca Lake State Park.</h5>

<h5>For the 56-mile course, choose your pace group from 5 levels (13-14mph, 15-16mph, 16-17mph, 18-19mph, 20+mph)</h5>

<h5>The ability to maintain a 13 mph is the minimum pace in order to make the total cutoff time for an iM70.3 event</h5>

<h5>All <span style="color:#e03e2d">lead/sweep cyclists</span> are race veterans and highly skilled cyclists with years of experience riding the area.</h5>

<h5>SAG wagon support provided <span style="color:#e03e2d">TruePath Racing</span> and <span style="color:rgb( 224 , 62 , 45 )">Towpath Bike</span> will follow the 56-mile course</h5>

<h5>Cookout afterwards under the covered lakefront pavilion - Seawall Pavilion (on the footpath if you want to leave your car at the parking lot to avoid park entrance fees). BOYB if you want to enjoy an adult beverage. <h5>Volunteers are also needed for pre-ride check-in and the BBQ.</h5>

<h5><b>Cancellation/Delays</b></h5>

<h5>Any decisions made will be made at game-time</h5>

<h5>In the event of severe weather (e.g. thunder/lightning), the ride may be delayed or cancelled. </h5>
</li><li>
<h5>The cookout will still proceed regardless of weather.</h5>

<h5><b>Etiquette</b></h5>
<ul><li>
<h5><strong>It's a group training ride, not a tight peloton or a race.</strong> Much of the course follows newly repaved roads straddling the beautiful Finger Lakes of Seneca and Cayuga in a rural setting. There is plenty of room to ride over the 56 miles bike course, so please give each other room to ride safely.</h5>

<h5>Show respect for your fellow triathletes is expected at all times.</h5>
</li><li>
<h5>Obey all rules of the road as you normally would, proper cycling communication/etiquette is expected (car back, clear left/right, on your left, etc...) </h5>
</li><li>
<h5>Any open-water swimming or running pre/post ride will done be at your own risk</h5>

<h5>Parking lot inside <a style="background-color:#ffffff" href="https://parks.ny.gov/parks/125/details.aspx" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Seneca State Park</a> ($8/car park entrance fee, or free with Empire Pass)</h5>

<h5><u><span style="color:#236fa1"><b>Proceeds generated from these even will be donated to the <a style="color:#236fa1" href="https://genevacenterofconcern.org/food-pantry/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Geneva Center of Concern Food Pantry </a></b></span></u>on behalf of the <b><a href="http://www.rochesterareatriathletes.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rochester Area Triathletes (RATs)</a></b>. RATs is a tax-exempt 501c3 non-profit organization<i> (EX-257178)</i> supporting triathletes of all levels and diverse backgrounds within our community. A separate page has also been setup for direct donations to the <span style="color:rgb( 224 , 62 , 45 )"><strong>Geneva Center of Concern Food Pantry and in 2024, we donated over $2,000.....and we'd like to beat that number again.</strong></span></h5>
