A 5K run/walk starting and eventually ending at Community Memorial Stadium at Mt. Pleasant High School! The course will also go near Mt. Pleasant's baseball, softball, and soccer fields. Race check in will be from 9 AM-10:25 AM. 5K for America's Heroes is raising money and awareness for the Disabled American Veterans organization (DAV) which helps aid veterans within our own community. With this event, we are also inviting and recognizing military members and first responders. Make sure to stay around once you are done with the run/walk because all participants will get a free lunch and there will be yard games, music, and entertainment. The night before the run on Friday, October 17, will be our annual Red, White, & Blue football game at Community Memorial Stadium. The game starts at 7 PM but make sure to get there early because before the game we will be honoring veterans, military members, and first responders. At this game, the MPHS National Honor Society will be having a bake sale in which all funds will be dedicated to our DAV fundraiser!
