<p style="line-height:1.4"><strong>Miles for Midwives 5k</strong> walk/run/roll is at <strong>10am</strong> on <strong>May 16, 2026</strong> at the beautiful <strong>Champoeg State Park</strong>, located halfway between Oregon City and Salem. This annual event raises awareness about the impact midwives have on improving outcomes in maternal and infant health and supports two professional midwifery organizations, <strong>The American College of Nurse-Midwives Oregon Affiliate</strong> and <strong>Oregon Midwifery Council</strong>. Please join us in celebrating the important work Midwives provide to women, pregnant people, and families by stepping out in support!</p> <p style="line-height:1.4"> </p> <h3 style="line-height:1.4"><strong>NEW! Southern Oregon Event </strong></h3> <p>We are proud to announce that there will be a secondary Miles for Midwives Oregon 5K on <strong>May 17th</strong> at <strong>Pacifica (A Garden in the Siskiyous)</strong> located in Williams, OR. The event will start at <strong>2pm on Sunday.</strong> (<span style="text-decoration:underline">the day after the main event</span>). To register for this race, please select the relevant option during your registration. Thank you for sharing our efforts supporting midwifery across Oregon!</p> <p> </p> <h3 style="line-height:1.4"><strong>Support Midwifery in Oregon</strong></h3> <p style="line-height:1.4">Money raised will go directly to improving maternal health care in Oregon. All proceeds benefit <a href="https://oregonmidwives.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Oregon Affiliate of the American College of Nurse-Midwives</a> and the <a href="https://oregonmidwiferycouncil.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Oregon Midwifery Council</a>. </p> <p style="line-height:1.4"> </p> <h4 style="line-height:1.4"><strong>Run in a Million</strong></h4> <p style="line-height:1.4">This year our event is promoting the global call by the International Confederation of Midwives for One Million More Midwives! Rooted in Indigenous knowledge and community care, Anahuac exists to support migrant and farmworking Indigenous peoples of the Americas through educational programming, traditional agriculture, and living pharmacy practices rooted in ancestral culture.
