<p style="line-height:1.4"><strong>THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS, SPONSORS AND PARTICIPANTS FOR AN AMAZING 2025 EVENT!</strong></p> <p style="line-height:1.4"><strong>Miles for Midwives 5k</strong> walk/run/roll was at <strong>10am</strong> on <strong>May 16, 2026</strong> at the beautiful <strong>Champoeg State Park</strong>, located halfway between Oregon City and Salem. This annual event raises awareness about the impact midwives have on improving outcomes in maternal and infant health and supports two professional midwifery organizations, <strong>The American College of Nurse-Midwives Oregon Affiliate</strong> and <strong>Oregon Midwifery Council</strong>. Please join us in celebrating the important work Midwives provide to women, pregnant people, and families by stepping out in support!</p> <h3 style="line-height:1.4"><strong>Support The Cause</strong></h3> <p style="line-height:1.4">Money raised will go directly to improving maternal health care in Oregon.</p> <p style="line-height:1.4">All proceeds benefit <a href="https://oregonmidwives.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Oregon Affiliate of the American College of Nurse-Midwives</a> and the <a href="https://oregonmidwiferycouncil.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Oregon Midwifery Council</a>. </p> <h5 style="line-height:1.4"><strong>Center For Hope &amp; Safety</strong></h5> <p style="line-height:1.4">10% of your registration will go directly to The Center for Hope &amp; Safety, which is a 501(c)(3), independent nonprofit offering safe refuge and support to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking.</p> <p style="line-height:1.4">You can learn more about this organization via their website <a href="https://hopeandsafety.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HopeAndSafety.org</a> or via their <a href="https://www.facebook.com/centerforhopeandsafety" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Facebook</a> / <a href="https://www.instagram.com/centerforhopesafety/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Instagram</a> pages. </p> <h5 style="line-height:1.4"><strong>Diaper Drive</strong></h5> <p style="line-height:1.4"><em>One in two families cannot afford diapers.</em><br />Please bring new cloth or disposable diapers for donation to local nonprofit diaper banks on the day of the event.
