Medved's special brand of seasonal running nonsense returns with the Halloween-themed Scarrier Games on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025.
We will be haunting Fairport this year.
Join your fellow ghouls and goblins for a spooky hunt at Triphammer Bierworks in The Cannery! Friends from Saucony will be on hand with prizes and demo gear for you to try out.
The Game
The spooky hunt is a course with checkpoints and challenges. There will be plenty of bat and pumpkin-shaped nonsense to keep things interesting.
Team Up or Go Solo
New This year, there are 16 team names to choose from, all inspired by iconic 1980s movies. Each team has space for 5-10 players. You'll choose your team name when you register, and that will be your theme for the game.
If you are a solo player, you can join any team you want or select the Free Agent team. All players must register to participate.
This year's spooky hunt is a great way to meet new people and make new running friends! Teams will fill up fast, so if you and your friends want to run together, you all need to sign up for the same team to secure your spots.
Game day check-in will open at 5:30 PM, and the Games will start promptly at 6:15 PM.
(Each team will be required to carry a cell phone and have access to post on the Medved Facebook Group Home Page to earn points)
Game Rules:
- In a choose-your-own-adventure scavenger hunt, runners will earn points by visiting various locations and completing challenges.
- You will receive the scavenger hunt list and area map at Scarier Games check-in on game day.
- To claim your points for each location/challenge, you must post a picture of your entire team at a designated location and post to the Medved Running & Walking Outfitters Group Facebook Group. Please make sure you are a member of this group prior to game day!
- Posts are eligible to earn you points between the designated race time. Any posts after this time will not count.
- All participants are required to follow traffic and pedestrian regulations at all times.
- Headlamps & Reflective gear are required to participate.
Bonus Points:
- Earn bonus points by donating to the Verona Street Animal Shelter when you sign up.
- Earn bonus points by dressing up in the theme of your team and the spirit of the games!
- Earn bonus points by wearing Saucony shoes to the Games!
