<h2><span style="color:rgb( 186 , 55 , 42 )"><strong>LOVE LOUD 5K &amp; 1Mi.</strong></span></h2> <h3><span style="color:rgb( 224 , 62 , 45 )">Saturday, February 14, 2026</span></h3> <p> </p> <p>WELCOME to Registration for the <span style="color:rgb( 53 , 152 , 219 )"><strong>SECOND ANNUAL LOVE LOUD 5K &amp; 1 Mi. </strong></span>Fun Run! </p> <p>The Love Loud 5K is once again being produced by Crossview Community Church of Rockmart, GA as part of their Community Outreach Ministry.  Our mission as a Church is to love our community and to do it in a BIG and LOUD way so the term to &#34;LOVE LOUD&#34; was born!    All proceeds from this race will be used directly to fund Crossview&#39;s multiple community outreach efforts such as Back to School Backpacks &amp; haircuts, Thanksgiving food boxes, and Christmas help for the needy just to name a few! </p> <p> </p> <p style="line-height:1.5"><strong> 9:00am</strong>         5K </p> <p style="line-height:1.5"><strong> 9:05am </strong>        1 Mile Fun Run/Walk </p> <p style="line-height:1.5"><strong> 9:55am</strong>          &#39;Tot Trot&#39; (<em>Ages 6 &amp; under</em>)</p> <p style="line-height:1.5"><strong>10:00am</strong>        Awards Ceremony</p> <p style="line-height:1.5"> </p> <p style="line-height:1"><br /><strong>Start Location</strong>:  (Rockmart, GA)</p> <p style="line-height:1"> </p> <p style="line-height:1"> </p> <p><strong>5K Course</strong>: The 5K begins downtown and meanders along the beautiful Silver Comet Trail before finishing in downtown Rockmart. </p> <p><strong>1Mi. Course</strong>: The 1 Mi. course is an out-and-back course.  Both the start and finish are downtown.</p> <p><strong>Tot Trot Course:</strong> Approximately 100 yds.  Please note - Tot Trot Registration fees is $10 per participant this year but DOES include a short-sleeve T-shirt and finisher medal.  Ages 6 &amp; Under ONLY Please! </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Registration Info: </strong></p> <p>Registration is now open. You can register online at RunSignUp.com until 11:00pm Sunday, February 8th, 2026 and each Race Registrant will receive a super-cool long-sleeve race T-shirt! </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Pre-Registration Packet Pickup:</strong><br />Will be held Friday, February 13th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Crossview Church which is located at 510 N. Some 20 years before the town&#39;s naming, a slate quarry was opened, and Welsh miners were brought to the area because of their expertise in mining slate. The Welsh left a strong heritage in mining and business. The Rockmart Slate Corporation is still in operation, mining environmental slate and producing a range of slate products. Next came the Railroad and local landowner and Director of the Railroad, Seaborn Jones gave the right of way land to run tracks. Mr. Jones had the land surveyed and laid off city lots and streets. He also deeded land to five churches, several built of slate and still standing. The Town Square and City Park, along with Rose Hill Cemetery where he is buried--were also donated. Between the Slate rock, the railroad and generosity, there’s no question the City of Rockmart was built on a solid foundation. </p> <p> </p> <p>We look forward to seeing you there!
