About Loaves and Fishes and Veterans Services of the Carolinas Run for Recovery

Addiction to alcohol and drugs and homelessness are at epidemic portions.

Loaves and Fishes of Beaufort is a Beaufort-based, Christ-centered, residential, substance abuse recovery program. We provide counseling, shelter and treatment to men at no cost to them. We have just opened a Transition Home where men who have graduated from the six month program can stay 12 to 18 months while they work and learn more life skills that help them move back into the community. www.loavesandfishesnc.org

Veterans Services of the Carolinas (VSC) supports our nation’s Veterans and their families by implementing essential assistance programs in communities across North Carolina. Through Housing, Employment, Outreach and Peer Support, Suicide Prevention, and Call Center Service Coordination. We collaborate with community partners and faith communities to engage with Veterans and their families to meet critical needs called Social Drivers of Health.. Through the HOPE/PATH Outreach program, VSC helps unhoused individuals attain the hope that recovery is possible and to get into addiction recovery programs such as Loaves and Fishes; help them find training and employment, income assistance, housing programs, and community mental health services.  https://www.abccm-vsc.org/
