About Little Hurt

Little Hurt is a multi-sport event designed to expose youth to competitions that include multiple sports, and to encourage participation in healthy activities that take advantage of the infrastructure and organizations available in the community. This event will take place on the Sunday after the Big Hurt, and we encourage participants to watch the fun on Saturday for inspiration! The event will take place on the Peninsula College campus.

The Little Hurt event is supported and organized via a partnership between Peninsula Adventure Sports (producers of the Big Hurt), North Olympic Healthcare Network, Peninsula College, Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association, and Port Angeles High School Key Club. It is a non-profit event and isĀ sponsored by Bike Garage and Phoenix Dragon Martial Arts in Port Angeles. All 1st - 8th grade participants will receive a finisher medal and t-shirt ($15 entry fee). Pre-K / Kindergarten will receive a finisher medal only ($5 entry fee).

In the 1st-8th grade categories, Little Hurt includes 3 legs - biking (bring your own bike - any type of non-electric bike), rowing on rowing machines provided by the Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association, and trail running in the forest behind the campus. Each participant does all of the legs - there is not a relay option for Little Hurt.Ā

In the K / Pre-K (ages 3-5) categories, youth will bike (bring your own bike) and run only (no rowing machines) and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. This is a very short event just for fun and to expose kids to the fun of riding, running and racing with friends!
