Lions on the Leon Captain "D" Dash for "Sight" 5K Fun Run/Walk Race Information

<p><strong>LIONS on the Leon <span style="text-decoration:underline">Captain &#34;D&#34; Dash for Sight 5K Fun Run/Walk</span> </strong>is coming up Saturday, October 4th, hosted by the Belton Lions Club!  Check out the photos from 2024 on facebook: Lions on the Leon-Wacky Boat Race/Picnic in the Park!  Fun Run/Walk map is posted in photos.<br /><br />The run/walk will begin at 8:30am, starting at the parking lot by the soccer fields, proceeding down Park Avenue, then circling through the neighborhood, returning along Park Avenue back to the Heritage Park parking lot. </p> <p>This is not a timed event, but it is very close to a 5K (3.11 mile). We were unable to be included in the timed race series because they already have two (2) races in October.  We understand that you may be able to time yourself through Run Sign-up.<br /><em><br /></em><strong>Award Categories</strong>:<em> <br />  </em>Adult Male &amp; Female - 1st, 2nd, 3rd<br />  11 &amp; under Male &amp; Female - 1st, 2nd, 3rd<br />  Costume Award - 1st, 2nd, 3rd<br />Every registered 5K participant will receive a <strong>custom commemorative spinner Race Medal &amp; event &#34;Sunglasses&#34;</strong>.  <br /><em>Come in <strong>Pirate Costume</strong> to compete for an award or come as you are! <br /></em>Each entrant will receive a <strong>Swag &#34;Booty&#34; Bag</strong>; and will be entered into a <strong>Bib Raffle</strong>.<br /><br /><strong>Event T-Shirt </strong>is guaranteed if <span style="text-decoration:underline">registered by September 5th</span> - limited sizes and quantity may be available after that date.<br /><br />The 5K is the kick-off event for the <strong>LIONS on the LEON</strong>.
