LET’S GET MOVING EVENT & 5K (3rd Annual) Race Information

<p>Come join us on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at <b>Vietnam Veterans Park</b> in Concord, NC for this great inclusive event for people of <u><b>ALL ABILITIES!</b></u>  Let’s Get Moving for a great event and get all bodies in motion. Proceeds support the work of <a href="http://kennedystrong.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">KennedyStrong Foundation.</a>Event is RAIN or SHINE</p> <p>Register by <b>Friday, September 5th to be guaranteed a shirt</b>. All supplies after this date are first come first serve. </p> <p><b>Race Day Packet Pickup opens at 8:00am</b></p> <p>Join us from 8a.m. to noon. There will be a DJ and activities for all.</p> <ul><li>8:00 a.m. - event site opens</li><li>9:00 a.m. - Buddy Run starts</li><li>9:30 a.m. - 5K starts</li><li>9:30 - 10:30 a.m. - Decathlon Activity Adventure course open as an alternative to the run/walk events</li><li>Virtual 5K for those who cannot attend in person but want to participate where they are</li></ul> <p>There will be 5k awards given to overall top 3 male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 &amp; under, 11-15, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61 -70, and 71 and up. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Decathlon.  Awards will be given to the top three male and female Fun Run finishers. </p> <p><strong>5k participants will receive finisher medals!</strong><br /><br />5k runners and Decathlon participants will receive a bag, shirt, and giveaway items. </p> <p>Virtual Runners will not be eligible for awards.</p> <p><b>Packet Pick Up:</b> Thursday, September 18th at the West Cabarrus YMCA in Afton Village from 6pm to 8pm.  See Packet Pick Up section below.</p> <p><b>Parking:</b>  <strong>This is a &#39;shuttle to destination&#39; event. </strong> Those with special needs can receive a parking pass at packet pickup. </p> <h5><b>About KennedyStrong Foundation</b></h5> <p>KennedyStrong Foundation is unlocking potential and empowering lives.
