<p>The Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force 13th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Awareness and Suicide Prevention returns to the College of Lake County on <span style="text-decoration:underline">Saturday, September 27, 2025</span>. We are excitedly anticipating the connections with all who join us either in person or online. Over the last several years we have had walkers/runners from many different States, walking with us or independently from wherever they are, and last year we had our record number of participants! Registration starts at 9:00 AM in person at the College of Lake County. The Welcome &amp; kickoff will start at 10:00 AM. We will also be hosting the kickoff on Facebook Live for those who cannot join in person. Feel free to share any videos and photos of the event, so we can also share with our Lake County community knowing that, We Are All In This Together! Check out some photos from last year&#39;s event by clicking on the photos section at the bottom of the page.</p> <p><strong>Registration and Resource Fair</strong></p> <p>This registration fee includes an event t-shirt** and resource fair bag, with local resources from organizations throughout Lake County. If you are unable to walk or would like to donate to the event, you can do so by clicking the donations tab above, or as part of your registration.</p> <p>$30 for adults<br />$10 for children 5 to 12 years old<br />Free --kids 4 and under<br />Teams of 5 people or more ($25 each)-- First person creates the team and team name and invite others to join it. The first 4 people will pay the regular fee of $30. The fifth and subsequent registrations in the team will drop the fee to $25, giving the first four individuals a $5 refund. </p> <p><br /><strong>T-shirt and Resource Bag Pick-up</strong></p> <p>We will be hosting a drive-thru event so you can <span style="text-decoration:underline">pick up your walk t-shirts and resource bags in advance</span>. T-shirts will also be available for pickup on the day of the Walk/Run event, Sept. 27.  Future emails will be sent out to registrants with more information.</p> <p>Date: 9/20/2025<br />Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM<br />Location: Lake County Health Department 3010 Grand Ave Waukegan, IL 60085<br />**T-shirts will be ordered starting the week of 8/23/2025.</p> <p>--Registrations placed after that date are not guaranteed to be available. We will do our best, but we may not be able to fulfill late t-shirt orders after 8/23/25.</p> <p>All proceeds go to the Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force and support our mission to prevent suicide and promote mental health awareness in Lake County through outreach events, professional training, and community education, because one suicide is too many.
