Juneteenth 5K - Family Rooted in Tradition 2026 Race Information

<p>Where Family, Freedom, and Community Come Together</p> <p>Celebrate Juneteenth at the <strong>6th Annual Cen-Tex Juneteenth Freedom Run 5K</strong>, hosted by the I<strong>nnovation Black Chamber of Commerce</strong>. This year’s theme, Family Rooted in Tradition, honors the generations who paved the way for opportunity while bringing today’s families and communities together in celebration of freedom, resilience, and progress.</p> <p>This annual race is more than a run. It is a community movement.</p> <p>Proceeds from the race support the <strong>Juneteenth Relief Grant</strong>, a program designed to provide financial assistance to Black-owned businesses across Central Texas. This grant initiative was created to help strengthen local entrepreneurship and support business owners facing financial challenges.</p> <p>Grant applications are submitted by local business owners and reviewed by a <strong>community selection committee</strong>, which determines which businesses will receive funding made possible through the support of runners, walkers, sponsors, and community partners.</p> <p>Your participation directly contributes to empowering local businesses and building stronger economic opportunities within our community.</p> <p>Your registration as a runner or walker includes:</p> <p> </p> <p>• Official <strong>2026 Cen-Tex Juneteenth Family Rooted in Tradition  5K T-Shirt </strong>(for the first 200 participants)</p> <p>• <strong>Finisher’s Towel</strong></p> <p>• <strong>Swag Bag</strong> from community partners</p> <p> </p> <p>Participants are encouraged to stay after the race for <strong>medal presentations</strong> and continue the celebration at the <strong>Juneteenth Festiva</strong>l, which will begin shortly after the race concludes.</p> <p>The festival will feature:</p> <p>• Local Vendors</p> <p>• Food Trucks</p> <p>• Family Activities and Games</p> <p>• Live Performances</p> <p>• Community Celebrations</p> <p>• Presentation of the <strong>Juneteenth Relief Grants</strong> made possible through this race</p> <p>The <strong>Cen-Tex Juneteenth Family Rooted in Tradition 5K</strong> is also part of the <strong>Cen-Tex Race Series</strong>, bringing together runners from across the region for a meaningful and memorable experience.</p> <p>Bring your family.</p> <p>Bring your friends.</p> <p>Help us celebrate freedom, tradition, and community impact.</p> <p>Together, we run.
