Iggy's "4 on the Fourth" Freedom Run Race Information

<p>In honor of Greg Iggy Miller, a great 4th of July four mile run through SE Ocala, starting and ending at Veterans Memorial Park on a course that winds through the quiet, tree shaded residential neighborhood. Fast results &amp; awards presentation. Veterans Park is located just East of 25th Ave between E. Silver Springs Blvd (SR 40) &amp; SE Ft. King St. (MAP)</p> <p>Parking available in the Ocala Public Library Parking lot adjacent to the Veterans Park. Awards 3 Deep in 5 year age groups.  </p> <p>July 4</p> <p>6:30 AM Registration &amp; Packet Pickup Opens</p> <p>7:20 AM Registration &amp; Packet Pickup Closes</p> <p>7:30 AM 4 Mile Run/Walk Start</p> <p>8:45 AM Awards Presented</p> <h1>No Dog Policy for Our 5K Races</h1> <p>We love dogs and understand they are part of the family, but unfortunately, we cannot permit them to participate in our 5K races. This policy is in place because our event insurance does not cover the participation of dogs, and we must prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants, both human and canine.</p> <h2>Key Points of the Policy:</h2> <ul><li><strong>No Dogs Allowed on the Course:</strong> For safety and liability reasons, dogs are not permitted to accompany runners or walkers during the race.</li><li><strong>Spectator Pets:</strong> Well-behaved and leashed dogs are welcome to spectate along the sidelines, provided they remain under control and do not enter the race course.</li><li><strong>Service Animals:</strong> Registered service animals are, of course, an exception to this rule, as they are covered under legal protections.</li><li><strong>Alternative Participation Options:</strong> If you’re looking for a dog-friendly race experience, please let us know, and we can share recommendations for other events in the area that welcome canine companions.</li></ul> <p>Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable race for everyone involved!</p>
