Huntsville Sprint Triathlon Race Information

<p><strong>Tee Shirt Cutoff</strong></p> <ul><li>Register by <strong>July 21</strong> to guarantee your shirt size!</li></ul> <p><strong>Practice Swim</strong></p> <ul><li>There will be a practice swim and race brief on Sunday July3 at 1:30pm - 3:30pm at the Aquatics Center (2213 Drake Ave SW). </li><li>We&#39;ll discuss the race and transition outside in front of the building and then enter the building around 2pm for the practice swim. </li><li>You can swim the course as many times as you like until about 3:30.</li><li>This is a great opportunity to practice the long lanes and adjust your estimated swim time!</li></ul> <p><strong>Race Information</strong></p> <ul><li>The 45th Annual Huntsville Sprint Triathlon is presented by Edward Jones.</li><li>Race Distance: 400 meter Pool SWIM / 8 mile BIKE / 3 mile RUN (bike and run lengths are approximate and vary from year to year based on course adjustments) - scroll down for course maps.</li><li>Both Individuals Participants and relay-teams are welcome!</li><li>Race start time is 7:30am.  Cutoff times will be enforce: athletes must start the bike portion by 8:30am and the run portion by 9:30am.</li><li>We will be swimming in the competition pool again this year.<br /><strong>New  this year: the bike course will be extended from approximately 7 miles to approximately 8 miles.  We will not have the sharp U-Turn on Triana Boulevard but will continue south to loop around the Public Safety Training Academy parking lot before heading back north on Triana Boulevard.</strong></li><li>Athletes will be seeded according to reported swim time (this may and should be adjusted closer to race day). </li><li>Registration will close Sunday August 3, 2025 or when registrations reach 450 cyclists.</li><li>Your finisher swag consists of a super cool, soft, lightweight t-shirt. Please be as accurate as possible with your swim time; you will have an opportunity to adjust your swim time closer to race day.  It is acceptable to stop and hold the side or the rope, to stop and rest at each end, and to use a snorkel.  If you feel you will stop during the swim, please factor that into your swim time.
