<p>You’ve braved the cold with us — now it’s time to face the heat.</p> <p>Join us for the inaugural Hot for a Cause 5K, a summer run/walk benefiting Yakima Union Gospel Mission and the men, women, and children in our community who endure dangerous summer temperatures without shelter, safety, or support.</p> <p>Hosted at the same venue as our beloved Cold for a Cause, this event brings awareness to a different side of homelessness in the Yakima Valley: surviving the intense heat of summer. While many of us seek air conditioning and relief, thousands of vulnerable individuals face long days and sleepless nights exposed to the elements.</p> <p>Every registration helps provide shelter, meals, outreach, recovery services, and hope to neighbors experiencing homelessness and hardship.</p> <p>Whether you run, walk, or cheer others on, you’re making a difference for those who face the heat every day.</p> <p> </p>
