Hopefest 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run is a charity race benefitting special needs children through the STM Options Program. We are excited that we will be having the race at the Youngsville Sports Complex Slemco Amphitheatre this year!
We will have a 1 mile loop for walkers, children, and strollers. All proceeds go to support special needs kids through the STM Options Program.   Not a runner, then come out and stroll for a good cause and enjoy all the festivities.
 
Teams - New for this year we will have teams for Schools and businesses!
Create a Run/Walk Team, or a School Team, or a Business Team and invite your family and friends to join your team.  Once the 5th member registers, the first 4 members will receive a $5 refund on their registration.  Then everyone after that that joins the team will only pay $25 for their registration.  The team with the largest number of members will win a prize.
 
Pre-registration cost is $30 and the walk up rate on race day is $35.
Pre-registration ends on March 19th, 2025 at 7:00pm. 
 
Race t-shirts are guaranteed if registered by 3/11/25.  After that date it will be "first come first serve" of what is left after the race on race day.
 
Stick around after the race for the all-day Hopefest music festival right there. Boiled crawfish, jambalaya, BBQ, fun jumps, face-painting, kids games, and much more.
 
Parking available at the Sports Complex. 
 
Packet Pickup:
 
Packet Pickup will be held at STM High School located at 450 E. Farrel Rd, Lafayette, LA for STM Students, Family, & Employees  on Friday, March 20th from 11:30am till 2:45pm.
Race Packet Pickup For Supporters in the General Public from 3:00p - 5:30pm.  Enter thru the Front doors then turn to the left to go to the Mall where the packet pickup will be setup.
 
We will have packet pickup on race morning at at the Youngsville Sport Complex Slemco Amphitheatre starting at 7:30 am.
 
Awards:
For the 5K:  Award certificates will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in all age groups. Cash prizes will be given to the overall winner in the male and female category.

9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over
 
The race is professionally chipped timed by Pelican Timing.
 
*Charitable donations, to support the cause for special needs kids, will be available at the race.
