<p>Join the Honey Brook Community Partnership to experience a 5K like no other! Set in the heart of the Lanchester Landfill &amp; Reclamation Center, where nature and sustainability meet. This unique course offers a scenic and challenging run or walk through gravel roads, wooded trails, grassy paths, and segments of the Lanchester Nature Trail.</p> <p> </p> <p>Starting at the facility entrance (elevation 875 ft), runners and walkers will navigate a series of steady climbs and enjoy peaceful stretches through reclaimed landscapes. Two major hills define the course:</p> <p> </p> <ul><li>First Climb: Elevation gain from 919 ft to 1,056 ft through wooded and grassy paths</li></ul> <p> </p> <ul><li>Final Ascent to Eastern Overlook: Elevation gain from 1,020 ft to 1,156 ft on gravel roads, leading to panoramic views of the surrounding valley</li></ul> <p> </p> <p>After reaching the overlook, runners and walkers will double back and enjoy a fast, mostly downhill finish to the starting line. A Kids1 Mile Fun Run on a mostly flat incline will kick off immediately after the runners head up the hill. </p> <p> </p> <p>Race proceeds go to support non-profit groups in the Honey Brook area that provide food and emergency support services to those in need in this community.
