Haunted Halloween Hustle Race Information

<p>Come join us for the Haunted Halloween Hustle!  We have a distance for everyone!</p> <ul><li>Monster Mile</li><li>Frightening 5K (run or walk)</li><li>Terrible 10K run</li><li>Haunted Half Marathon.</li></ul> <p>The race is based out of the lovely Abshire Park in Goshen, Indiana. The courses are all on the fantastic, scenic Pumpkinvine trail which is largely ensconced by old trees. All distances are out and back so there is absolutely NO WAY to miss a turn, get lost or lose your mates!  Just get into your zone, forget about your cares and count down the miles!</p> <p>You will always have people around you to encourage you and get you to the finish line! The path is completely protected from traffic, except at a few cross roads where we will have police and volunteers to keep you safe. There are also several porta potties along the way, which is always nice- especially on the longer distances. </p> <p>If you have never been on this trail, it is a local gem! We are so lucky to have access to this fabulous path in our area! We welcome back all of our past participants! </p> <p><strong>Awards</strong> All participants get a custom finisher medal with the new logo, with your distance on the lanyard.  Overall Top Three MF and Age group awards in the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. The Mile is not timed, but you will get a custom finisher medal.</p> <p><strong>Costume awards in 10 categories. </strong>We encourage everyone to dress up - and participate in the costume contest!  We will have special awards in 10 categories (it&#39;s way too difficult to pick The Best) including best homemade, best super hero, and more.</p> <p><strong>Sign up </strong>when you get there (to make sure we get a photo and you won&#39;t be missed) and when you get back from your run, you can see if you won! We usually do a Monster Mash parade just so everyone can see all the costumes!  Makes it fun! </p> <p><strong>NEW IN 2025</strong></p> <ul><li><strong>Shirts are optional and and additional cost of $15</strong></li><li>If you have too many shirts, just skip it!  <strong><br />We do order extra shirts, but you need to sign up by October 10 to guarantee your size and availability.</strong></li><li>We will also have vintage performance shirts for sale onsite for $5.00, so bring a few bucks.<strong><br /> </strong></li><li>For those wanting more time to complete the half marathon distance, we are offering <strong>&#34;Dawn Patrol&#34;</strong> which will begin at 8:00 am. You just need to indicate that during signup or at the latest  when you check in so our timer is prepared. All Dawn Patrol participants will all start together at 8:00 am.  You must be checked in by 7:45 am on race day in order to start early. Sunrise is at 8:08 am. NOTE: You must begin at 8:00 am if you sign up. (Can&#39;t just show up at 8:15 am and start, etc etc. This is a manual start. Again, this is intended to encourage folks who might need or want extra time to finish.</li></ul> <p>         The awards ceremony times will not change.</p> <ul><li>Food Truck onsite! </li></ul> <p><strong>Packet Pickup and Registration</strong></p> <p><em>You are welcome to pick up for your friends. For your convenience, we have added a pick up location on Wednesday!</em></p> <p><span style="background-color:rgb( 251 , 238 , 184 )">NEW: Wednesday, October 22 4:30 - 6:00 pm at Fleet Feet Mishawakathen 6:30 - 7:30 pm at Chicory Cafe in Mishawaka (after the Pub Run)</span></p> <p>Friday, October 24 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Abshire Park Pavilion, 1302 East Lincoln Avenue, Goshen</p> <p>Saturday, October 25 7:00 - 8:15 am at Abshire Park Pavilion, 1302 East Lincoln Avenue, Goshen</p> <p><strong>Parking on Race Day</strong></p> <p>There is no parking at Abshire Park on race day for participants. There is a small lot which will be used for staging race supplies and volunteers. On Race morning, Boy Scout Troop # 12 will be directing traffic to local businesses along Lincoln Avenue. Please allow a little extra time to get to the area. </p> <p><strong>Refreshments</strong>? Ben&#39;s Pretzels will have fresh pretzels there, and we&#39;ll have hot cocoa, soup, coffee, cookies and so much more will be waiting for you at the finish line. We do have great chow at the finish!</p> <p><strong>FUNdraiser! </strong>This race benefits the Elkhart County Down Syndrome Support Group and 2025 is super exciting because we will be announcing some very big plans for the group at the race!</p> <p><strong>Not a runner?</strong> We always need active spectators to cheer on the runners, hand out water, watch for traffic, etc. Please let us know if you support group is available to help out!</p>
