<h3>Lace up and make a difference! &#x1f45f;</h3> <h4>Join us Saturday, September 13th at the University of Texas at Arlington for the HACEMOS DFW Scholarship 5K Run/Walk!</h4> <p>The race benefits the IME Becas / HACEMOS DFW Scholarship Program. All proceeds from this event will go directly toward awarding scholarships to deserving students across the DFW area. <a href="https://hacemosimebecas-dfw.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Learn more about the IME Becas / HACEMOS DFW Scholarship Program here</strong></a>.</p> <p>The 2025 5K Scholarship Run/Walk involves your choice of:</p> <ul><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">1) a 5K Run/Walk on a certified course or</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">2) a virtual race – perfect for anyone who wants to run but cannot be with us in person on race day. Virtual Racers can complete their race from wherever they live!</span></li></ul> <h2>&#x1f6b6;‍♀️&#x1f3c3;</h2> <p>Whether you’re running for a personal best or walking with friends and family, your participation makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local scholars. Let’s run, walk, and give back — ¡Juntos HACEMOS Mas!</p> <h3>About HACEMOS</h3> <h4>HACEMOS, the Hispanic Association of Communications Employees of AT&amp;T, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization who strive to improve the quality of life in our communities.</h4> <p>HACEMOS means &#34;We Do,&#34; and through the IME Becas Program we award $1,000 to two-year college students and $2,000 to four-year college students that are selected in the next-year scholarship program application.</p> <p>The HACEMOS Dallas-Fort Worth Board would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation in advance for your support. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.</p> <h3>Registration Timeline</h3> <ul><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>In-Person 5K Early Registration: </strong>Friday, June 20th to Thursday, July 31st ($35)</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>In-Person 5K 1st Price Increase: </strong>Friday, August 1st to Friday, August 22nd ($37)</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>In-Person 5K 2nd Price Increase: </strong>Saturday, August 23rd to Saturday, September 13th ($40)</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>Virtual 5K Registration: </strong>Friday, June 20th to Saturday, September 13th</span> <ul><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">$25 without shirt and medal</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">$40 to include shirt and medal order</span></li></ul> </li></ul> <h3>Race Day Schedule: Saturday, September 13, 2025*</h3> <ul><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">7AM - 7:45AM: On-site registration and packet pickup</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">8:00AM: Race time start</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">9:00AM: Post-race celebration and awards</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">11:00AM: Event officially ends</span></li></ul> <p><em>*Rain or shine we will have the 5K Scholarship Run/Walk, and no refunds will be given. At the race director&#39;s discretion we could delay or cancel for safety (lightning or other unsafe conditions). If during the course of the race it is deemed unsafe, participants are highly encouraged to return to the MAC and take cover.</em></p> <h3>Important Info</h3> <ul><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>Parking:</strong> Free parking will be available <strong>at Lot 34 (401 S. Nedderman Dr, Arlington TX  76013) and the West Campus Garage (804 UTA Blvd, Arlington TX  76013)</strong></span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>Snacks:</strong> Snacks and water will be provided for participants only</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>Prizes:</strong> Will be given after the race for overall male/female (more details to come)</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>Pets:</strong> Following UTA campus policy, <strong>pets will not be allowed to join the 5K course</strong></span></li><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong>Shirts:</strong> Unisex T-shirt included with registration; <strong>the order deadline for guaranteed shirts in your selected size is Friday, August 22nd</strong></span> <ul><li style="font-size:14pt"><span style="font-size:14pt">Participants who registered after cutoff date may not receive a shirt in their size or one at all; we will make a second order of shirts for after the event depending on demand.</span></li><li style="font-size:14pt;font-weight:bold"><strong>Any extra shirts will be distributed on a first come first serve basis on race morning.</strong></li></ul> </li></ul>
