Frozen Rails 5K & 10K Race Information

<h1>Kick off the new year with a healthy start in historic Midway, KY!</h1> <p>Join us for the <strong><span style="color:rgb( 24 , 44 , 242 )">9th Annual </span><span style="color:#0000ff">Frozen Rails 5K &amp; 10K</span> </strong>in Midway, KY on <span style="color:rgb( 53 , 152 , 219 )"><strong>Thurs</strong></span><span style="color:#0000ff"><span style="color:#3598db"><strong>day</strong></span><strong><span style="color:#3598db">, January 1, 2026</span>,</strong></span> at 2pm. Kick off the new year with a healthy start at this run/walk event through the historic town of Midway.  Our races will start/finish on West Higgins Street.</p> <p>Our <strong>RACE DAY HEADQUARTERS</strong> will be at <span style="color:#808000"><strong>Midway Baptist Church (Address: 121 S Winter St, Midway, KY 40347)</strong></span>.  We&#39;ll have packet pickup and onsite registration (cash or check) from 12:30-2pm.  The church has a community center (and indoor restrooms) to stay warm before heading to the starting line outside.  </p> <p>Commemorative long-sleeved T-shirt, Chip Timing by RaceRise, Overall &amp; Age Group awards, Berserker Brew Coffee &amp; hot cocoa, DJ, and a &#34;Best Finish Line Photo&#34; Contest.  We will also have an untimed 1-mile fun run/walk and kids&#39; 1K.</p> <p>Partial proceeds will benefit the Midway Ministerial Association.  The Midway Ministerial Association is a collaborative effort involving 7 Midway area churches (Midway Christian Church, Midway Baptist Church, Midway Presbyterian Church, St. Matthew’s AME Church, Midway United Methodist Church, Historic Second Christian Church, and Pilgrim Baptist Church) who provide support and funding for those in need in their community.</p> <p>We are pleased to have Berserker Brew Coffee join us for the 2025 Frozen Rails.  They will be serving coffee and hot chocolate to help keep you warm!</p> <p><strong>PACKET PICKUP OPTIONS</strong></p> <p><strong>Tuesday, 12/30/25 </strong>from 12noon-3:00pm at J&amp;H Running Company (197 Moore Drive in Lexington)<strong><br />Wednesday, 12/31/25</strong> from 12noon-2:00pm at Midway Christian Church<strong><br />Thursday, 1/1/26 </strong>(Race Day) from 12:30-1:45pm at Midway Baptist Church (race venue)</p> <p>* Pickup for friends &amp; family is encouraged.  No credentials, paperwork or ID necessary.  All local runners are encouraged to pick up Tuesday or Wednesday.</p> <p><strong>VIRTUAL RUNNER/WALKER OPPORTUNITY</strong>  If you&#39;re not able to join us in person but still wish to support our cause, you can sign up as a Virtual Runner/Walker, and we&#39;ll mail your shirt and bib.  Then (if you want) you can do your own Frozen Rails 5K or 10K on your own timeline in your own hometown.  The cost of this option is $30.</p> <p><strong>CANNED GOOD DRIVE   </strong>Bring canned or non-perishable goods to either packet pickup or the race, and we&#39;ll see that they get distributed to those in need through the Midway Food Pantry.  Thanks for your support!</p> <p><strong>BEST FINISH LINE PHOTO CONTEST  </strong>Thanks to Ruby Cline-Eaton who will be taking race photos at the Frozen Rails.  We&#39;ll select one lucky winner of our &#34;Best Finish Line Photo&#34; to win a free registration to a future RaceRise race, so get ready for that finish line pic!</p> <p><b><a href="https://www.plotaroute.com/route/2475912" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FROZEN RAILS 5K COURSE</a></b></p> <p><strong><a href="https://www.plotaroute.com/route/637858" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FROZEN RAILS 10K COURSE</a></strong></p> <p> </p>
