The Fred Lutzke Miles for Meals 5k Race and Walk sponsored by Love Thy Neighbor Food Pantry Backpack Program is a 5k run/walk in Wattles Park through the Ott Biological Preserve. Starting and finishing at Battle Creek Friends Church 1305 Olive Street Battle Creek 49014.
This is a self-timed event with all proceeds benefiting Love Thy Neighbor Food Pantry (LTN), a fiscally sponsored project of the Battle Creek Community Foundation and South Michigan Food Bank.
LTN supports our community by providing meals for families and lunches for children in conjunction with the South Michigan Food Bank.
Your donations support the Love Thy Neighbor Backpack program. A "backpack" contains a weekends worth of meals for a local child.
Your Registration will Provide a Backpack for 8 Children in Your Community
All are welcome. Strollers and dogs on leashes included. Post-race snacks. Guaranteed t-shirts for all participants registered before September 13, 2024. Race day registration is allowed.
