<p>Ring in the New Year with a fast mile! Our traditional Frank Shorter mile will kick off your new year and fire up your competitive drive. We&#39;ll be at Westside Park in front of the pool. 1001 NW 31 Dr, Gainesville, FL 32605</p> <p>FREE for current FTC members ( FREE race code can be found <a href="https://floridatrackclub.wildapricot.org/Race-Discount-Codes" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here by logging into your FTC account</a>) and kids race is free for anyone; $15 for non-members for the adult 1-mile races.<b> There will be awards for overall men and women. Awards for age group winners in 10-year categories for 1st in each age group. </b></p> <p><b><span style="color:#34495e">$100 in Prize Money for 1st place Male and Female who breaks the current Frank Shorter mile record:</span> </b><span style="color:#000000"><b></b></span></p> <ul><li><span style="color:#34495e"><b>Male: Enoch Nadler - 4:20 </b></span></li><li><span style="color:#34495e"><b>Female: Haley Hasty - 5:11</b></span></li></ul> <p>Kids who want to run/walk the Kids&#39; Mustache run must register, but this is a FREE event for children 12 and under. </p> <p>If you want to join the Florida Track Club and participate in the numerous races and track meets planned each year, go to <a href="https://floridatrackclub.wildapricot.org/join" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Floridatrackclub.org</a> to signup.  Individual yearly membership is only $40, family membership $65, and student membership $25. We also offer senior memberships for those who are 65 years of age or older. $25 for an individual, $40 for a family. Email us for more info. </p> <p>For 2026 - 12 total races (all professionally timed) 9 of them are free for club members, 3 races with discounts, and a summer social.</p>
