Kick off your holiday with high energy, heavy breathing, and a whole lot of red, white, and blue at the Firecracker 5K.</p> <p>Whether you’re a seasoned sprinter looking for a personal best or a casual jogger just here for the post-race hot dogs, we want YOU on the starting line.</p> <p>&#x1f552; <span style="background-color:rgb( 194 , 224 , 244 )">The Details:</span><br />When: July 4th, 2026<br />Where: Lakefront Trail, Little Elm, TX <br />Attire: The more patriotic, the better. Think sequins, stripes, and stars!</p> <p><br />&#x1f3c6; <strong><span style="background-color:rgb( 194 , 224 , 244 )">Why Run?</span></strong><br />Earn your beer and hot dog!: Burn those calories before the first burger even hits the grill.<br />The Swag: Exclusive Firecracker finisher medals and tees for all participants. <span style="background-color:rgb( 248 , 202 , 198 )">Brunch Pass - All American hot dog and beer or mimosa for those over 21 years of age  (must be 21 bring I.D.)</span><br />Bragging Rights: Be the person who accomplished something epic before noon.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="background-color:rgb( 194 , 224 , 244 )">Canine Costume Contest </span></strong></p> <p>Winners will be  announced before the start of the race.  Dress up your pup and come on for a walk! The best dressed up pups will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! (Fun prizes for winners)</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="background-color:rgb( 194 , 224 , 244 )"><strong>Virtual Race</strong></span></p> <p>No packet pickup for virtual participant. Virtual runners will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal via mail during the week after the race. </p> <p><span style="background-color:rgb( 194 , 224 , 244 )"><strong>Course Notes</strong></span></p> <p>The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged. To enjoy all that participating in a race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, race management encourages a headphone-free environment during the event.</p> <p>Safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.</p> <p>Per USATF safety rules and insurance, no pets are allowed on the 5K. Strollers are allowed to be safely integrated into the event.</p> <p>Pets are welcome in the 1M fun event.</p> <p>The minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6 and no minimum age for the 1 mile.</p> <p>Race Day Management reserves the right to change any event course at any time due to safety, weather conditions, or other production concerns.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="background-color:rgb( 194 , 224 , 244 )"><strong>Timing</strong></span></p> <p>The 5K is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results.
