Fast & Furriest 5K Run/Walk Race Information

<h1><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Great Lakes Bay Animal Society’s 13th Annual </strong></span></h1> <h1><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Fast &amp; Furriest </strong></span><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>5K Run/Walk</strong></span></h1> <h1>May 2, 2026 at Midland City Forest, Midland</h1> <p>Run Fur Fun! This event is a 5k Trail Run/Walk.</p> <p>We are happy to be back in 2026 with two chip timed events this year.  We will have the 5K run/walk without dogs and the 5K run/walk with dogs.   Both of these events will be chip timed with medals for first, second, and third place in male and female categories.  Aid and water stations are positioned along the trail. This is a family-friendly and kid-friendly event and the trail is stroller-friendly.</p> <p><strong>Packet pick-up and late registration will be at Midland City Forest  --   Friday May 1, 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Saturday May 2, 7:30 am -8:45 am for timed race without dogs and 9:00 am with dogs.  <br /></strong></p> <p>Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring their canine companions and celebrate the special human-animal bond!  <span style="text-decoration:underline">Runners and walkers without dogs are also encouraged to come participate in the fun! </span>Children 6 and under can run/walk for FREE!  This is a stroller friendly course.</p> <p><strong>Event T-shirts and other goodies for the runners/walkers will be guaranteed to those who register before April 20, 2026.  <br /></strong></p> <p>All proceeds from this special fundraiser will directly benefit Great Lakes Bay Animal Society’s goal of providing quality care for animals in transition to their forever homes.</p>
