<p><strong>Get ready to go nuts in Edenton!</strong> Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026, for the Nut Run, an exciting kickoff to the 51st Annual Peanut Festival! Runners will enjoy a one-of-a-kind race experience through the scenic streets of historic Downtown Edenton and the rich farmland of Chowan County—home to generations of peanut growers.</p> <p>Choose from a 5K, 10K, or take on the 15K Nutty Challenge by running both back-to-back! The course blends charming waterfront views, colonial architecture, and stretches of active peanut fields just before harvest—offering a crisp fall morning full of Southern charm and small-town energy.</p> <p>In order to complete the 15K Nutty Challenge you&#39;ll need to finish the 10K within 1.5 hrs and start the 5K on time at 8:30am.</p> <p>After crossing the finish line, stick around for a full day of festival fun:<br />&#x1f31f; The Peanut Festival Parade rolls right after the race<br />&#x1f95c; A sack race for kids brings classic fun to the courthouse green<br />&#x1f3b6; Live porch music fills the air throughout downtown</p> <p>All proceeds benefit Main Street Edenton&#39;s Facade Grant program.
