Durango Nordic Summer Biathlon Running Race

Learn about the Olympic sport of biathlon by joining Durango Nordic for a biathlon clinic at the La Plata County Fairgrounds on August 2, 2025. Then test your new skills with a running biathlon race using safe and kid-friendly laser rifles. In addition, learn about all the winter programs Durango Nordic offers.

Thanks to US Biathlon for providing the laser rifles. Please do not bring any other biathlon rifles to the event.

Athletes will run one lap, shoot, run another lap, shoot, and finish with a running lap. Missed shots result in a penalty lap (which is shorter than the regular lap).
