<p><strong>EVENT OVERVIEW</strong></p> <p>This festive, Easter-themed beach run was established in 1967 by the City of Daytona Beach. The race was first held on Easter Sunday to provide an activity for visiting college students and is now the oldest consecutive footrace in the State of Florida.</p> <p>Participants will enjoy a scenic run on the World’s Most Famous Beach while traveling out and back for the 4-mile race, 2-mile fun run or health walk. Kids are also welcome to participate in the 1/4-mile race, 100 and 50-yard dash.</p> <p><b>Schedule of Events<br /></b>6:15 a.m. - Packet Pickup Opens<br />6:45 a.m. - Line Dance Warm-up<br />7:30 a.m. - 4 mile &amp; 2 mile Start together at the same time<br />8:30 a.m. - Kids Race</p> <p>The Easter Beach Run is professionally chip-timed. Results will be available online after the completion of each event..</p> <p>Awards not picked up race day may be picked up weekdays at the CODB Parks &amp; Recreation Administrative office for 30 days after the race. Awards will be mailed if requested with a $10 check to CODB Attention Katie Preswood Parks &amp; Recreation - P.O.
