Community in Motion: Veterans 5K Race Information

<p>Join us for the inaugural Veterans Victory Run: Pocono 5K on Saturday, November 1, as part of Northampton Community College’s Community Day at the Pocono Campus!</p> <p>This meaningful 5K event is dedicated to honoring the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans and active-duty service members. Whether you&#39;re running, walking, or rucking, participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome. The race will wind through the scenic Pocono campus and surrounding areas, bringing our community together in a show of unity, gratitude, and support.</p> <p>Proceeds from the race will benefit student veteran programming at NCC, including the Band of Brothers student organization. Veterans and military-affiliated participants are encouraged to wear their uniforms or bring meaningful items to share with the community during post-race engagement activities.</p> <p><strong>Course Details:</strong><br />The race kicks off and finishes at Northampton Community College’s Pocono Campus, following a scenic, and fast point-to-point route through grass, side walks and on paved roads. It’s perfect for both seasoned runners and casual participants!</p> <p>Strollers and leashed pets are welcome – please start behind the runners.<br />Walkers are encouraged! This is a non-timed walk, starting after the runners.</p> <p><strong>Rain or Shine:</strong><br />This event will take place rain or shine – come prepared and bring your positive energy no matter the weather!</p> <p><strong>Event Schedule:</strong><br />Check-In: 7:30 AM<br />Pre-Race Stretch Session: 8:30 AM <br />National Anthem: 8:50AM<br />Race Start: 9:00 AM</p> <p>***Join us for open house activities for prospective students as well as opportunities for our community members to enjoy our campus following the 5k. The community day event will be lively from 11am-2pm (check-in at 10:30am).</p> <p>Come celebrate service, strength, and community—one stride at a time!</p>
