<p><strong>About the Event</strong><br />The Camas Lions Oktoberfest Run brings together runners, families, and local businesses for a 5K and 10K run/walk along the scenic Columbia River trails, followed by a festive “Cheers for a Cause” Oktoberfest Biergarten with live music.</p> <p>Runners and walkers of all levels are encouraged to participate.</p> <p>Families and company teams are welcome.  Kids under 12 participate for free.</p> <p>Come in your favorite Oktoberfest outfit!</p> <p><strong>Why We Run</strong><br />100% of net proceeds stay local and directly support:</p> <ul><li>Vision and accessibility services</li><li>Youth leadership and scholarships</li><li>Emergency preparedness and community resilience</li></ul> <p><br /><strong>Awards &amp; Gifts</strong><br />Every finisher will receive a medal featuring the race logo. <br />Registration fees include a commemorative gift mug if registered by 5:00 PM on July 31, 2026. Only 100 mugs will be given away.</p> <p>&#34;Best Oktoberfest outfit&#34; award will be given after the race.</p> <p>&#34;Largest Team&#34; will receive preferred seating at the Biergarten by live music.</p> <p><strong>Entertainment</strong><br />Stay after the run/walk for live music. Participants age 21 and over will receive one free beer upon completion of the run/walk in the Biergarten. Participants under 21 will receive one free root beer.</p> <p><br /><strong>Event Time &amp; Route</strong><br />10K Start: 10:00 AM<br />5K Start: 10:15 AM</p> <p>The bibs will be chipped and official times will be sent to runners after the run.</p> <p>The route is primarily flat. Slower runners and walkers are asked to stay to the right.</p> <p>Both races start at 54 40 Brewery, travel on the street for less than ¼ mile, and then continue along the Captain William Clark Park Trail. The 5K turns around along the trail, while the 10K continues to a turnaround point. Both races finish at 54 40 Brewery. Flaggers will be stationed at key intersections, with directional signs, flags, and mile markers placed along the route.</p> <p><br /><strong>Registration</strong><br />Register online via RunSignUp and complete the required waiver. Race-day registration is available; electronic payment only (no cash or checks accepted).</p> <p><br /><strong>Parking</strong><br />Parking is limited to street parking, with potential access to nearby parking lots next to 54 40 Brewery. Participants are encouraged to arrive 30–45 minutes prior to their race start time for bib pickup and warm-up.</p> <p><br /><strong>Packet Pick-Up</strong><br />Race-day packet pick-up will be available from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at:<br />54 40 Brewery<br />3801 S Truman St #1<br />Washougal, WA 98671</p> <p><br /><strong>T-Shirts</strong><br />Event T-shirts will be available for purchase for $20 (optional).</p> <p><br /><strong>Water Stations</strong><br />Water will be available at turn around points as well as at the start/finish area.</p> <p><br /><strong>Food &amp; Drinks</strong><br />The Camas Lions have partnered with 54 40 Brewery / Kascadia Public House to offer food and beverages for purchase at the start/finish area.</p> <p><br /><strong>Restrooms</strong><br />Port-a-potties and 54 40 Brewery restrooms will be available at the start/finish area. Public park restrooms are also located along the route.<br /><br /></p>
