<p><strong><span style="color:rgb( 45 , 194 , 107 )">WHAT&#39;S THE BUZZ?</span></strong></p> <p>The Buzz Marathon is a Boston qualifying race, hosted at Camp Roberts California National Guard Installation. This annual event includes; A full marathon, half-marathon, 10K, 5k, and a kids 1-mile run. Proceeds of this event help fund the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) program with their mission of soldier care. MWR provides services to support the wellbeing of military personnel, their families, retirees, and veterans. The goal of MWR is to create a &#34;home away from home&#34; environment, helping service members maintain morale during training and other high-stress duties.</p> <p><strong>Boston Qualifier:</strong> USATF #CA24001TEB </p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="color:rgb( 45 , 194 , 107 )">CAMP ROBERTS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:</span></strong></p> <p><em>All participants and visitors must comply with base access protocols</em></p> <p>Drivers are required to provide:</p> <ul><li>Real ID (or valid government-issued ID)</li><li>Current vehicle registration and proof of insurance</li><li><strong><span style="color:rgb( 186 , 55 , 42 )">ALL VEHICHLES ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH AND SEIZURE</span></strong></li></ul> <p>All <strong>other visitors or passengers</strong> (ages 16 and above) are also required to provide a <strong>Real ID or government-issued identification</strong>.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color:rgb( 45 , 194 , 107 )"><strong>COURSE DESCRIPTION</strong></span></p> <p>Runners will start at the heart of the Camp Roberts instillation, heading northeast through diverse terrain and varying elevations. Along the way, participants will take in breathtaking scenic views, with chances to spot local wildlife such as elk, deer, and the elusive kit fox.</p> <p>The course also offers a unique blend of natural beauty and history, featuring glimpses of California wildflowers and historic military landmarks that highlight the rich heritage of Camp Roberts.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="color:rgb( 45 , 194 , 107 )">AID STATIONS</span></strong></p> <p>Aid stations are positioned approximately <strong>every two miles</strong>, with additional placements at key turns to help guide runners along the correct route.</p> <p>Stations are located at the following mile markers:</p> <ul><li>1.6</li><li>3.6</li><li>5.1</li><li>6.55 (Half Marathon Turnaround)</li><li>8.0</li><li>9.9</li><li>12.0</li><li>13.12 (Full Marathon Turnaround)</li></ul> <p><br />Each station is stocked with water, <strong>Powerade, bananas, oranges, energy gels, and latrines.</strong></p> <p><br /> </p> <p><span style="color:rgb( 45 , 194 , 107 )"><strong>PARKING</strong></span></p> <p>Parking on Convoy Parking Lot on California Blvd and Montana Blvd. Short walk to the start/finish line.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color:rgb( 45 , 194 , 107 )"><strong>AWARDS</strong></span></p> <p><strong>All participants</strong> will receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal. Awards ceremony will be <strong>held at noon</strong>, where we’ll present a plaque to the overall <strong>first-place male and female in each race.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>PACKET PICKUP</strong></p> <p>The Camp Roberts MWR will be hosting packet pickup at the <strong>Phoenix Recreation Center (Building 6083)</strong>, located approximately 75 yards from the Start/Finish line at the corner of Arizona and California Blvd.</p> <p>Packet pickup and security clearance will be available:</p> <ul><li>Tuesday to Friday, March 17th – 20th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM</li><li>Race Day – Saturday, March 21st, 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM</li></ul> <p><em>Participants are strongly encouraged to check in early during the Tuesday–Friday window to complete security clearance and avoid race-day delays.</em></p> <p><em>On site reg available for $20 extra 3/17 - 3/2010AM-4PM</em></p>
