<p><span style="font-size:18pt"><strong>Brown County Fair Foundation 5K</strong></span><br />Date: Saturday, August 8, 2026<br />Start Time: 8:30 a.m.<br />Race-Day Registration Opens: 8:00 a.m.<br />Start/Finish Location: Brown County Fair Office, Aberdeen, SD</p> <p>Kick off Brown County Fair week with a fun, family-friendly 5K hosted by the Brown County Fair Foundation! This community-focused event is designed to bring people together, support the Fair, and get everyone moving before the festivities officially begin.</p> <p>Held the Saturday prior to the Fair—when campers are already on site for the weekend—this 5K is the perfect way to start Fair week on a positive and energetic note. All proceeds from the event directly benefit the Brown County Fair and help enhance the experience for fairgoers.</p> <p>Walkers, bikers, and runners of all ages and abilities are welcome. This is a participation-based event focused on fun and community rather than competition. There will be:<br />No timing or official results<br />No race bibs<br />No competitive pressure<br />Just a relaxed and enjoyable 5K in support of the Brown County Fair.</p> <p>Course &amp; Safety Information<br />The course will start and finish at the Brown County Fair Office. A water station will be available along the route, and limited volunteers will be positioned at key locations. The course crosses 24th Avenue twice; while traffic is expected to be light, participants should remain alert and use caution at all times.</p> <p>Registration Information<br />$25 if registered prior to July 24, 2026<br />$30 after July 24, 2026<br />Same-day registration available beginning at 8:00 a.m. on race day for $30<br />Each registered participant will receive a complimentary Brown County Fair Foundation 5K t-shirt.</p> <p>Whether you walk, bike, or run, join us for a great morning of movement, community, and fun as we come together to support the Brown County Fair and kick off an exciting week at the Fairgrounds.</p>
