<h3><b>ABOUT BRAD SCHOENER</b></h3> <p><br /><b>Brad Schoener</b> was a music director in the Upper Darby School District for 25 years. He lost a courageous battle to leiomyosarcoma cancer in 2009, but not before having an incredibly positive impact on the lives of countless students, colleagues, and friends. Brad was loved wherever he went and helped mold the future paths of thousands of children through his passion for music and his ability to bring out that passion in his students. </p> <h3> </h3> <h3><b>THE BRAD SCHOENER FUND</b></h3> <p><br />Proceeds from the 5K Run support the Brad Schoener Memorial Music Fund and its MusicMan Academy programs. The mission of Brad&#39;s Fund is to support the musical abilities and aspirations of instrumental music students in the Upper Darby School District through the funding of instruments, instruction, and experiences for interested and talented students who might not otherwise have the opportunities due to personal circumstances. Brad&#39;s Fund is supported by the Upper Darby Arts &amp; Education Foundation. </p> <h3> </h3> <h3><b>WE CAN&#39;T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN 2026!</b></h3> <p><b>You can still register the day of the race (t shirts are not guaranteed)!</b></p> <p><b>If you registered already and you are ready to pick up your race bib &amp; swag bag, please park your car for free at Drexel Hill Middle School or the Kindergarten Center an</b><strong>d look for the tent on Arlington Field behind the Arlington Mansion (<a href="https://runsignup.com/2900%20State%20Rd,%20Drexel%20Hill,%20PA%2019026" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Toppitzer Funeral Home</a>)! <span style="background-color:rgb( 251 , 238 , 184 )">Our race check-in/bib pick-up process begins at 7:30 am on Saturday, May 16th.</span></strong></p> <p>We will kick off the day&#39;s festivities at <b>8:15 am</b> and &#34;<span style="color:#843fa1"><b>Warm Up with the Y!&#34;</b></span> stretching with professional YMCA trainers and getting those muscles ready to run! Then - join the fun  at <b>8:30 am</b> as we hold the 2nd <span style="color:#843fa1"><b>&#34;Inflate - a -Fun Run&#34;</b></span> as the UDSD School Teams compete to win the Schoener School Spirit Award!  As always -- <b><span style="color:#843fa1">look for special guests during our pre-race festivities!</span></b>   Be sure to arrive in time to see who our <b>2025 special guest will be from 8:15 - 9:15 am</b>!  Families are encouraged to complete the 5K or the 1 Mile Spirit Walk together and then... we have <span style="color:#843fa1"><b>SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE</b></span> as we celebrate our 15th year of keeping Brad Schoener&#39;s wishes alive for Upper Darby children. As always - be ready to hear <span style="color:#843fa1"><b>LIVE MUSIC</b></span> along the 5K route - drumlines, bagpipes, brass ensembles, ukulele circle, Delaware County Flute Choir... and MORE!</p> <p>The MusicMan 5K is known for its <span style="color:#843fa1"><b>unique finisher medals </b></span>- actual working mini-harmonicas! Age Group awards are given (full size harmonicas) and Overall Male/Female race winners receive 14K gold plated harmonicas!
