It may be cold, but that's part of the fun! There's nothing like the thrill of running through crisp winter air, surrounded by fellow runners, with the finish line in sight. Whether you're a seasoned runner or joining for the first time, the Betsie Bay Frozen 5K is the perfect way to embrace winter and get moving.
Known for its frosty conditions and gusts off Lake Michigan-making it's true test for "crazy" winter adventurers. Despite the chilly weathers, the race is a fun and community driven event that welcomes participants of all ages and paces. Awards will be given to first three places overall and first place in each age category. 14 and under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and up.
All participants receive a lightweight hoodie and a finishers medal.
Packet pick up takes place at the American Legion in Frankfort on Friday, February 13 from 4PM until 6PM and again on race day one and a half hours before the start. Busing to the start will be provided by Frankfort Area Schools and Benzie Bus.
Donated gifts from our community partners will randomly be given away to registered participants on race day.
