Lace up your shoes and join this heart-to-heart stride as we come together to stand in solidarity with children in need—especially those who’ve endured the trauma of sexual violence—and uplift communities across sub‑Saharan Africa and beyond.</p> <p><span style="font-size:14pt"><strong><em>Why we run—and why you matter!<br /></em></strong></span>Every step at Hope in Motion is a message of love, resilience, and possibility:</p> <ul><li>Your support helps us build a safe shelter in Africa for children who have been victims of child sexual abuse.</li><li>Our mission is to heal, restore, and reintegrate these children into their communities with the care, tools, and love they deserve.</li><li>You join with us in abating the scourge of child sexual abuse (CSA) by deploying support and initiatives to prevent CSA, educate children and families, and rehabilitate child survivors.</li><li>Every entry, every donation, and every cheer sends a ripple of hope to a child needing hope and a second chance.</li></ul> <p>Whether you’re a seasoned 5K runner or someone taking their first steps, your presence lights up the path. The park comes alive with nature’s beauty—watch playful ducks and geese, admire ancient cypress trees, and catch spectacular views of planes taking off and landing at nearby Love Field.</p> <p><em><strong>Can’t make it to Dallas? Past this time, the event course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants. </span><span style="color:rgb( 0 , 0 , 0 )">If conditions become unsafe due to lightning or heavy rain/hail or other acts of nature outside of our control, the event may be cancelled.
