6th Annual South Gulf Cove CCT Furry Scurry 5K (Feb. 21st 2026 8am) Race Information

<p><span style="color:#000000">The Conservancy and Community Trust of South Gulf Cove would like to welcome you</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">to our 6th Annual South Gulf Cove CCT Furry Scurry 5K Walk/Run. All ages are</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">welcome to join us for this Dog-Friendly Walk/Run in the South Gulf Cove Community.</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">There will be a special 1.5-mile course for those Dog Walkers that feel the 3.1-mile </span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">course is a little too much for the pups. We are excited to be able to put on this Chip</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Timed event to benefit our local Animal Shelters and Rescues. The proceeds will</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">be donated to the following:</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Englewood Animal Shelter (EARS)</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Suncoast Humane Society Englewood</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">The German Shepherd Rescue in Punta Gorda </span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">The Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Ruck 9</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Rescue Garage</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Peace River K9 Search and Rescue</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">We will be grilling up some free hotdogs and supplying some brews after this event to celebrate all the participants.....There will be raffles and silent auctions with some great prizes so bring some extra cash.</span><br /><span style="color:#000000">We will also offer a Virtual version of this race for our Furry Friend lovers from out of the area</span><br /><span style="color:#000000">Because this Race is a fundraiser there will be no Refunds.</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Runners will start promptly at 8:00am</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">5 K Walkers will follow the runners</span></p> <p><span style="color:#000000">Mutt Strut walkers will be corralled in an area at the driveway and will await their walk after the 5K walkers are through the start/finish line</span></p> <p> </p> <p>Packet Pick-up<br />Race Morning starting at 6:30am</p> <p>Early Packet Pick-up <br />Friday 2/20 from 5-8pm. <br />14859 Ingraham Blvd. Port Charlotte Fl 33981 <br /> </p> <p>--Please keep in mind that there will be runners on the course please arrive early to get parking, We will have an area set aside for all Mutt Strut participants to gather before the Start of the Mutt Strut</p> <p>Miscellaneous Information<br />If you are an avid animal lover or rescue parent and would like to sponsor our event please contact Mark Vaccaro &#64; 610-451-3370 If you would like to Donate, please hit the button above.
