3rd Annual OEC Fun Run Race Information

<p><strong>Please come and join the OEC Nguyen Foundation for our 3rd Annual Fun Run on February 15, 2025! We would love to see all of your beautiful faces at our Fun Run, so that we can join hands and remember our loving Olivia, Edison, and Coco. This Fun Run is also held to promote fire safety awareness amongst our community. </strong></p> <p><u>Event Details</u></p> <ul><li>Date: February 15, 2025</li><li>Start Time: 8:00am CST</li><li>Distances: 5K and Kid&#39;s 1K</li><li>Location: Sugar Land Memorial Park, 15300 University Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479</li></ul> <p><u>Pre-Race Packet Pickup</u></p> <ul><li>When: Friday, February 14, 2025 10am - 5pm</li><li>Where: Fleet Feet Sugar Land, 15890 Southwest Fwy #600, Sugar Land, TX 77478</li></ul> <p><u>Race Day Packet Pickup</u></p> <p>If you are not able to pickup your packet on Friday, we will provide packet pickup the morning of the race from 7:00 - 7:45am. </p> <p><u>Course</u></p> <p>It will start at the main pavillion (next to playground), short run down University Blvd, left at the lake, around the lake, left at University Blvd, turnaround before U of H, and straight back towards the finish line. Runners will walk straight into the pavillion after they finish. </p> <p><u>Parking</u></p> <p>There will be plenty of parking by the main pavillion.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline">Bathrooms</span></p> <p>There are public bathrooms next to the pavillion.</p> <p><u>Race Day Timeline</u></p> <p>8:00 AM – National Anthem/Prayer</p> <p>8:05 - Kids 1K</p> <p>8:20 - 5K</p> <p>9:30 - Awards to Top 3 male and Top 3 female in the 5K &amp; Awards to the Top 3 girls and Top 3 boys in kids 1K</p> <p><u>Misc</u></p> <ul><li>5K is chip timed.</li><li>Kid’s 1K is chip timed. 12 and under please.</li><li>Parents may accompany kids on Kid&#39;s 1K. Each kid will be given a prize when they cross the finish line along with a medal!</li><li>No pets on the course.</li><li>Strollers are welcome.</li><li>There will be firetrucks, firefighters, food, raffle drawing and live music after the fun run!</li><li>Each registration for the 5K and Kids 1K includes finisher&#39;s medal, t-shirt, and 1 ticket for a breakfast taco after the run!</li></ul> <p><u>Inclement Weather</u></p> <p>The event will be held rain or shine. However, should additional weather conditions prevail race day that it is deemed unsafe for runners and volunteers, the run will be cancelled and all fees will be donated to the OEC Nguyen Foundation.
