22nd Annual Tim Heinsz 5K/10K, 14th Annual Jim Devine Dog Walk & 8th Annual Bob Bailey Bike Ride Race Information

<p>The 22nd Annual Tim Heinsz Memorial 5K &amp; 10K Run/Walk, 14th Annual Jim Devine Dog Walk, &amp; 8th Annual Bob Bailey Bike Ride honors three of Mizzou Law&#39;s most beloved deans. Tim Heinsz served as Dean of Mizzou Law and was an avid runner. Jim Devine served as Associate Dean and was a noted dog lover. Bob Bailey is an Assistant Dean Emeritus and a cycling enthusiast. All monies raised benefit the Timothy J. Heinsz Scholarship Fund. </p> <p> </p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Event Details</strong></span><br /><strong>Location: </strong>The in-person race will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Mizzou Law School, 820 Conley Ave, Columbia, MO 65211. The event will be held rain or shine.</p> <p><strong>Packet Pickup: </strong>Specific times for packet pickup are 45 minutes prior to each event outside the law school.</p> <p><strong>Race Day Registration</strong>: Online registration closes at 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. But you can still register the morning of the race! Volunteers will be stationed at the race location to sign up any late registrants. We will accept cash (please bring exact change), checks (made out to “University of Missouri School of Law Foundation” with “TH5K” in the memo line), or debit/credit card. Prices will be the same as they are marked online. </p> <p><strong>Entertainment: </strong>Check back soon for more details regarding entertainment on race day.</p> <p><strong>Volunteering: </strong>Interested in volunteering on race day? See above for updated packet pickup times. Packet pickup will still begin 45 minutes before each event.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Event Categories</strong></span><br /><strong>Tim Heinsz Memorial Competitive 5K/10K Run:</strong> This registration includes a timing chip, and your race time will be posted online. Registration includes an event t-shirt.<br />$30/person</p> <p><strong>Tim Heinsz Memorial &#34;Just for Fun!&#34; 5K/Walk:</strong> If you’re interested in participating in the race/walk without the added pressure of having your race time posted online, this is the option for you! This registration option will be listed in the results, with a symbolic time of 2004, in honor of Tim Heinsz. Participants of this division are not eligible for awards. Registration includes an event t-shirt.<br />$30/person</p> <p><strong>Bob Bailey 15K Bike Ride:</strong> Enjoy this non-competitive 15K bike ride. Registration includes an event t-shirt.<br />$30/person</p> <p><strong>Jim Devine Dog Walk:</strong> Enjoy a leisurely one-mile stroll with your furry friend. Don’t have a furry friend of your own? Not to worry. Walkers without dogs are welcome to join the fun, too. Each registration includes an event t-shirt.<br />$20/person</p> <p><strong>Kids Fun Run: </strong>Kids of all ages are invited to join in on the fun in their own short “race.” Each registration includes one kid-sized t-shirt.<br />$15/child</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Team Race: </strong></span>Organizations within the law school and/or around the community are invited to run or walk the 5K as a team. Teams will consist of 5 people. $100/team. Registration includes t-shirts. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Firm Race:</strong></span> Law firms are invited to run or walk the 5K as a team. Teams will consist of 5 people. $150/team.
