<p>For years, the Larchmont Elementary School R.A.T. “Run At Twilight” Race has been a favorite fall tradition for the student body and neighborhood to help raise money for the school and build a sense of community throughout the neighborhood.</p> <p>We invite you to join us in running or walking the 1 mile Kids Run or the 5K Run throughout the streets of Larchmont, followed by a party with refreshments and good times at ODU&#39;s Brick Field on Friday September 12, 2025.</p> <p>R.A.T. RACE DETAILS<br /> </p> <p>1 MILE RUN - Race Start Time: 5:45PM</p> <p>5K RUN - Race Start Time: 6:30PM</p> <p>THE RACE COURSE<br />The Larchmont R.A.T. Race 1 Mile Kids Run and 5K Run start and finish on Bolling Avenue, adjacent to ODU&#39;s &#34;Brick Field&#34; (Bolling x Upper Brandon) <br />Lat: 36.891574<br />Long: -76.304554</p> <p>1-mile course map: the participants will proceed south from Brick Field on Bluestone Avenue to Longwood Drive; turn right and proceed west on Argall Ave; turn right and proceed north to Cedar Lane; turn left and proceed west to Rolfe Avenue; turn right and proceed north to Bolling Avenue; turn right and proceed east to finish at Brick Field.</p> <p>5K course map: the participants will proceed south from Brick Field on Bluestone Ave to W. 49th Street; turn right and proceed west to Powhatan Avenue; turn right and proceed north to Eleanor Court; turn left and proceed south to Powhatan Avenue; turn right and proceed south to Cedar Lane; turn left and proceed east to Rolfe Avenue; turn left and proceed north to Bolling Avenue; turn right and proceed east to finish in Brick Field.</p> <p>PARKING<br />Plenty of free parking available throughout the Larchmont neighborhood.</p> <p>REGISTRATION</p> <p>*1-Mile and 5K registrations include: race bib, timing chip, official race shirt, race &#34;medal&#34;, great celebrations and more!</p> <p>**There will be awards for the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers for EACH race**<br />***Registration will be capped off at 1,000 participants***<br />****ALL RUNNERS AGES 6 AND UNDER MUST HAVE A REGISTERED PARENT/GUARDIAN ON THE COURSE; SEE PARENT REGISTRATION INFO BELOW****</p> <p>COST </p> <p>1 Mile Run: $25 (registration by August  29, 2025); $30 (registration on or after August 30, 2025)</p> <p>5K Run: $40 (registration by August  29, 2025); $45 (registration on or after August 30, 2025)</p> <p>Parent/Guardian Registration: (for registrants ages 6 &amp; under ONLY) $5 </p> <p>**** Race shirt not included with parent/guardian registration but they are available for purchase at packet pick-up or the event</p> <p>***This is a RAIN or SHINE event.  In the event of severe weather, a decision will be made by Friday (September 12) afternoon.  Please check out our Larchmont RAT Race Facebook or Instagram pages for updates as the event gets closer***</p> <p>**If the race is canceled, there will NOT be a makeup time/location.
