10th Annual Resurrection Run & Community Easter Egg Hunt Race Information

<h4><strong>Come celebrate 10 years of running with us!</strong></h4> <p>The Resurrection Run is a family event that marries the friendly competitiveness of a 5K/10K road race, a 1K dash, and an Easter Egg hunt for kids of all ages! Come experience the beauty of Lake Forest Park, run or walk our East-Texas-renowned 5K course or our fun, but challenging 10K course, and fill your Easter basket to the brim as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and raise money for Henderson Interchurch Ministry, Rusk County Legacy House, and Rusk-Panola Children&#39;s Advocacy Center!</p> <p>Make sure to follow us on Facebook (&#64;ResurrectionRunHenderson) for updates and more information!</p> <p>Stick around after the race to hunt thousands of Easter Eggs provided by Ebenezer Baptist Church. </p> <p>Run with Endurance! There are no overall awards. Awards will be issued to the top 3 males and top 3 females in the following age divisions for both the 5K and 10K events. </p> <p>18 and under</p> <p>19-29</p> <p>30-39</p> <p>40-49</p> <p>50-59</p> <p>60&#43;</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Course Information</strong></p> <p>The 5K &amp; 10K course will start and end at Lake Forest Park and run through Henderson neighborhoods and downtown. Expect both concrete and asphalt terrain. Both courses are &#34;open,&#34; meaning there will be no road closures. However, HPD has graciously offered to police the route and aid in traffic direction to ensure the safety of our participants. Thank you, HPD! There will be at least one water/aid station on the route. </p> <p>The non-competitive 1K dash will stay on concrete trails within the park.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Arrival Information</strong><br />Please enter Lake Forest Park from Highway 64 and use Civic Center parking lot. Please arrive with ample time before opening ceremonies, especially if you plan on collecting your packet on race day.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Parking Information</strong><br />Please use Civic Center parking lot and carpool if possible.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Other Information</strong><br />Restrooms on site at Lake Forest Park<br />Wear comfortable, athletic clothing and footwear; wear your bib on the front of your person on the outermost layer of clothing</p> <p>If you need accomodations, please contact us no later than 7 days prior to race day.</p>
